My Elastic Nigeria

And so we move on Nigeria as we always do.
We dust ourselves, nod our heads, clap three times and move on.
It doesn't matter that innocent citizens have been slaughtered like cows in Jos.
It doesn't matter that over 200 of our sisters and daughters have been stolen for over 30days.
it doesn't matter that the Leadership now has a templated response"fully committed to the fight against terror" to any dastardly act against its citizenry while the assailants are emboldened by the day. And so we move on because as a people, we do not have a breaking point.
As a people, we are each driven by a selfish motive for survival. As a people, we are only Nigerian on paper but each an island to ourselves. May the souls of the departed find eternal peace and may those who trouble us receive eternal judgment clamored by all the lives they have taken.
