And So Again

And so again, our collective resolve as a people united against terrorism, is tested.
and again we failed like we always have.

Again, we dust ourselves,  clap three times, nod our heads in an attempt to show disdain and move on.

And so again, our individual selfish interest is put before love for God and country thus we lack the capacity to feel Shame and  Anger.

Again, we show that as a people, our mediocrity and complacency has no limit because we are each driven by a sense of SELF first.

And so again, we show that we lack the mental capacity to unite against a common enemy.

Again We pick up our phones, dial loved ones and as long as they are alright, All is well.

It doesn't matter that scores of our brothers and sisters had their lives truncated this evening by a faceless enemy .

It doesn't matter that the nation is under siege and at war even  with itself.

It doesn't matter that as a people we are neither safe nor respected both at home and even abroad.

And so again, we make apt and  rife the prophecy that we will not stand together come 2015.

Again, we dust ourselves, clap our hands three times, nod our heads and to spicen it add "na wa o".

Oh my  sleeping-beauty Nigeria, how many royal kisses do you need to awaken you.

May the wrath of Almighty Allah visit each and every individual and their generations who have inflicted pain on us as a people.

Dedicated to all victims of terrorism  across the country.
